A very impressive printer and so easy to use -
however there is just one reason why I give it 4
stars instead of 5 :-
My slight reservation relates to the price of
consumables. Why are packs of paper for this
printer typically being sold in the U.S.A. for $18
(approximately £10.50) when we have to pay
some 50% more ? Is there any prospect of
lower prices here in the future ?(Editor-Simple answer is that we always pay much more for stuff in the UK!, than in the USA)

As far as I am concerned you may give the Photoshuttle SIX stars - I think I am on the fourth replacement set of ribbon and papers and the printer has always churned out superb photos without a hint of any trouble. There really is not much more I can say except that I am delighted and that I am looking very seriously at the even more sophisticated models!

I sent for the sample pictures and must admit that I thought that that they may have been prepared especially as a demo but after the first trial run I found that it is so easy to produce great pictures that friends thought had been professionaly printed
Thanks HiTi

Have had a chance to give this a good workout, and have to make the following comments:
Dead easy to set up, easy to load ribbon cartridge and paper tray, but must read instructions first! The oddly named software is, as you said, a doddle to use - it does all that it should quickly and easliy - even if the instructions etc are in, umm, quaint English. The results for colour and mono are, quite simply, astounding. I did not know it was possible to get genuine photo prints like these at home. Anyone prepared to pay 30p or so for a superb 6x4 must buy one.

Like many of us, who bought our first printer to support a home office - this usually meant buying an inkjet printer. So when the old one was worn out, it was quite natural to replace it with another modern colour inkjet printer. With colour we soon found that we could print photographs from our digital camera. The photos from the injet were very slow to print, and never up to the standards of the photo lab.
Then, by chance I discovered dye-sublimation and the HiTi range of printers. I bought the Photoshuttle model, as I wanted to connect to the PC--wow! what quality, and at 45 seconds fast!! And the printer occupies such a small amount of space on the desk.
I would recommend this printer to anyone who wants to print high quality photos at home, with an added bonus that the prints are waterproof and almost tear proof.
The service from Systeminsight was great - ordered one day delivered the next - what more can you ask!

It's fascinating to watch the images built upon an initial yellow image by the additive printing. The superb prints were so good that a work colleague ordered a 730PS soon after my purchase.

I have been very pleased with the results of photos printed by the HiTi Photoshuttle printer. I bought this model, as I thought a middle of the range one was a good place to start. The software provided is an excellent complement to the printer and very user friendly. There is a wide choice of options for using labels, various photo sizes and formats on one print alone. It's a perfect result every time, unlike an inkjet printer which can sometimes produce an erratic copy. In addition, it is much faster than an inkjet printer per print. The photos are harder wearing and the print won't run if they get a little wet or damp, unlike inkjet printer photos. I had no qualms about hanging onto mine after I received it and tried it out. Prices of the units have come down too as supply and demand have dictated. A great piece of workmanship for the average person to produce outstanding photographs in the home! A big thumbs up for Dye Sublimation and HiTi.
