Best Photo Printer Around, Oct 15, 2007

Originally had a HP Photosmart Inkjet Printer. Compared the quality of my photos to those of my mum, which was a Hi-Ti printer purchased from QVC. No sooner was my old printer put up for sale and replaced with the Hi-Ti 631PS. 100% better quality. It may be a bit slow but each print is worth the wait. QVC stopped selling the replacement paper but then I found System Insight and whenever I have ordered from them I have more or less received my goods the next day. Will never use another make of printer, I only hope Hi-Touch don't stop making them! My printer is now 2 yrs old and I touch wood I have never had any problems and the paper has only jammed about twice. Highly recommend.

Bought my 631PS on a shopping channel and was well pleased with the results. The only down side was the shopping channel stopped selling the replacement print ribbons. Now that I have found SYSTEM INSIGHT I am up and running again.Would not be without this great printer.

A wonderful solution for family photo, Apr 14, 2006

I bought the 631PS on e-bay! The original owner had received it as a gift and been daunted by the style of printer and had not even opened it. What a stroke of good luck for me.
I had researched the printers available for printing 6x4 photos for family use. The family having complained that I took lots of photos and when they got to see them they were of inferior quality (ink-jet). As I live in a rural area I wanted a printer that would give me photo quality at home. I had concluded that the 631PS is exactly what I wanted. How lucky to find it on e-Bay.
I find it hassle-free both as a direct printer and when printing from the computer. Good quality photos every time. No need to monitor ink levels or find yourself out of paper. Having the packs with both components in it means that if you have ink you have paper and visa-a-versa.
The family are happy and now get good quality photos promptly. I am happy as the printer lets me print off my photos without fuss.
The only niggle I have is that the control to go to print in direct mode takes a little getting used to - the sequence of 'print' and 'OK' buttons.
Overall a great lttle machine!

I have the 630PS and it gives me the finest 6x4 prints one could ever hope for, and as I always print from the PC the lack of multi card slots does not bother me. The best since sliced bread.

What a pleasure to receive my new HiTi 631PS. I got it up and running within minutes, and was printing photo's like I had only seen from Laboritory Prints. What an amazing product. I highly recommend this printer as it is the best I have ever used, and there have been a few. I would like to thank System Insight for their quick delivery and helpfull comments. I breed dogs and show them. This little beauty will be coming with me to take photo's and print them at the shows. Many thanks Margaret

In these days of automated answering systems I found pleasure in the old fashioned service provided by System Insight. I called twice and each time the call was answered by someone who knew what he was talking about and was courteous and helpful. My order was processed efficiently and I received my Hi-Touch 631PS a couple of days later.
The printer is reasonably priced, very easy to use and produces excellent results which I honestly would not be able to tell from Lab produced photos - streets better than my inkjet efforts.
My seven days trial period is not yet up but I wanted to say it's a great little machine supplied by a good company. I recommend them both.

I recently purchased the HITI 631PS PHOTO PRINTER and found it to be the best little printer on the market.
Since using this printer and most of its functions and capabilities I was astonished by the performance and quality of the photos.
To say that its a fantastic and easy to use little machine is a gross understatement.
I look forward to having many years enjoyment with it.
Kind Regards,
Charles Ross.

What can I say the information I recieved was exactly as I was told its easy to use its compact and produces quality that unbelievable and whats more you have seven days to return it if you are not satisfied ( not that I have ) but that shows the confidence of the seller. If I need to change from the 631PS it will only be to upgrade.

The first thing that struck me about the printer was it's size, it was much smaller than I imagined for some reason, it fits neatly onto my desk, and doesn't look out of place.
The quality is also amazing, I've been used to using a standard inkjet for my photos, but no longer, the quality is just as good, if not better than having them printed by a professional company.
System Insight gave me fantastic service, I ordered on a Sunday evening, and it was delivered Tuesday morning, the price was also by far the best I found online.

I bought this printer for my wife as she did not want to have to print using a PC. She is thrilled with it. Easy to use ... Insert memory card from camera..... switch on ....Select photo from easy to use screen menu....select print and hey presto a shop quality Photo. I was also impressed with the after service. We had a small problem with a ribbon getting tangled. The support team helped me to untangle the ribbon and sent me a replacement free of charge.I have compared the photos printed on the HiTi 631PS with photos I have printed on my Epson Photo printer and there is no comparison. The HiTi 631PS wins hands down.

After much research done on the internet, I decided to purchase the HiTi 631PS and have been delighted with my choice. Easily set up and very user friendly the quality of the prints is excellent. The only downside is that I will have to buy an XD card attachment as the printer does not support this media directly.
I am otherwise hugely impressed.

I ordered the 631 PS online on a Saturday, and received it the following Tuesday. Can't get beter service than that. I investigate road traffic accidents, necessitating taking photographs of the location. The 631PS has cut down the time, and expense, I was spending having the prints developed, leading to lower overhead costs, and a quicker turn around for clients' instructions. The printer itself is easy to operate, and I would recommend it to anyone who has the requirement to print small volumes of excellent quality digital photographs. Well done Hi-Ti.

First of all may I say how nice it is to be able to speak directly with a real person on the other end of telephone line, well done System Insight.
Secondly, for that person to be able to talk knowledgeably about the product without being patronising or trying to "blind with science" and not applying pressure to buy, thank's Stuart.
I had seen dye sublimination printers "advertised" on the internet on several sites and by several manufacturers but was unable to acquire any information about them until I came across System Insight. After reading the description and spec of the different models and testing the communication system by telephoning and speaking to Stuart, I decided to buy the 631PS based purely on our conversation and backed by your 7 day home trial.
The machine duly arrived (next day) and, unbelievably, within 30 minutes I had it unpacked, set up and the first print in my hand. It is so simple to use and the results are even better than "shop bought". Printing via my pc using the accompanying software expands the versatility of the printer although the built-in facilities are quite adequate when using the printer in "stand-alone" mode. It is so quick and easy to produce a finished photo within less than five minutes of photographing the subject. Comparing this printer to others I've had is like comparing a BMW to a Model T Ford, it really is that good.
The only niggle I have is that there isn't a switch or button to allow it's use in photo mode without disconnecting the usb cord, but what the hell that doesn't detract from the pleasure of using this very impressive piece of kit.

I saw at least a one hundred prints from a HP PhotoSmart, which I thought, were poor quality compared with film. Just about to reinvest in film but by searching I came across the HiTi site. I read the reviews, still sceptical, decided on the 7 day trail. I actually forgot about the trail because I was to busy printing photos for everyone. Forget about the HP PhotoSmart too
I have given it only a four because I think the screen attachment is a bit naff, but then I don't use it. I have also had a problem with the driver, so I rang HiTi support in the UK which was a normal phone call, spoke to a person who corrected my error in a few minutes, I also had a good chat with Steve and learned about more features.
Please do not buy any other Photo Printer because I'm one of the toughest customers to please. Complaining to Companies about their service is Sport to me.

Why I bought the 631PS - any my experiences, Apr 13, 2005

I spent a long time evaluating which photo printer to purchase and had read in the specialist press about the superiority of a dye sublimation printer but could not find much in the way of tests however eventually http://www.steves-digicams.com/2002_reviews/hiti_630ps.html convinced me to put the HiTi claims to the test.
I was impressed from the start, my order was processed rapidly and the printer (a 631 PS) arrived in two days. OK, now how about the set-up I thought - well from unpacking through software installation to printing took something like 6-7 minutes; why can't all manufacturers make installation so simple and logical?
The first print was jaw dropping and more than comparable to high street processors. Further experimentation with zooming in and with pictures containing peculiar light and shadow patterns has not fazed the printer.
I commend the printer to anyone looking for top notch quality at a reasonable processing speed... and added to this the people at System Insight are knowledgeable and available to answer any question - far better than an extensive FAQ list and interminable key presses for an automated switchboard!
Congratulations on a great product and great customer service.
