Inkjet Cartridges & Consumables
The iP8500 uses eight different Ink Cartridges that sit into a printhead. The printhead is not a consumable item although it is available as a spare part QY6- 0055-000. The Ink Tanks used in the iP8500 are as follows:

CD-R/DVD printing plus more
This printer packs more features into less space. You can print image thumbnails or personal designs directly onto compatible CD-R and DVD discs. An integral duplex unit provides two-sided printing to cut your paper costs. This is especially useful for printing photo albums using double-sided photo paper.
