To print Colour or black and white documents:
Use HP #57 (C6657A - Tri-colour print cartridge) and HP #56 (C6656A - Black print cartridge).
To print Colour photos:
Use HP #57 (C6657A - Tri-colour print cartridge) and HP #58 (C6658A - Photo print cartridge).
To enable your printer to create the highest quality photo prints, install an HP 58 Photo cartridge in place of the HP 56 Black cartridge and load the printer with HP Premium Plus Photo paper.
When the HP 58 Photo cartridge and the HP 57 Tri-colour cartridge are installed together in your printer, you can create true-to-life, virtually grain-free photos using six-ink colour printing.
When the HP 58 and HP 57 cartridges are used with HP Premium Plus Photo paper, you can create photos that will resist fading for generations - longer than most traditionally processed photos.
