I've had this printer for some time now and have used it for both university work and freelance work. Good printer for giving clients proof examples of designs. If you are experiencing problems with printing i recommend conducting maintenance more often as this printer can leave streaks and slight imperfections with colour. If your a perfectionist like myself then i recommend a product like 'Huey', which attaches to your monitor in order to calibrate it with the printer - thus printing more accurate colours.

How to print from Photoshop, Feb 20, 2007
reviewer: Andy from Southport

The printer works just fine from the Canon sofware but with Photoshop I get the picture skewed off the print area on the page and unprinted stripes. I must be doing something wrong, but what??

Very impressed with the quality of the output - not had any of the ink blockages and multiple cleaning cycles that I had with the epsons. Speed is good. Still use the Hi-Ti of course for quality photographs.

Very good all-round wireless printer, but replacement print heads are difficult to source and very expensive.

Fantastic value for money. Excellent quality colour printing, including duplex. Very easy to operate. Cartridges last a good length of time. When printing my very old PC (5 years old with ME) slows down a little but that is a small price to pay for such a good printer.

I use two Canon printers - iP4000 and the S750.The iP 4000 is mainly used for printing photographs and the results are excellent. Also I find the printer is economical in its usage of ink. The other advantage with Canon printers is that inks can be changed individually.

I can only concur with your previous reviews. This appears to be the last generations of printers without cartridge chip technology, which deters one from using compatables. I use this printer mainly for photo work and for price this 'discontinued printer' is in the top draw and very economical to use. It's good to know, that the print heads are replaceable if defective, unlike some other manufacturers and the ink is reasonably priced. (for photo work it is best to stay with original cartridges) My default printer is a HP and as we all know is expensive to run. Highly recommendable, that's if you can still get one, which is doubtful

Cheap to buy and to run, Feb 24, 2006
reviewer: T. P. Harvey from Norfolk, UK

Simple to set up and cheap to refill, I have been only pleased, no gripes. White-surfaced CDs and DVDs print easily in the special holder, and the twin trays make it simple to separate your media re. variety and size. Paper handling is fine, and duplex [twin-sided] works well, if a little slowly. It's an attractive machine, and my attempts to refill the 3 dye carts using bottled dye inks seems OK so far. If you have a lot of high quality work to do and limited funds, you'll love this printer. The black pigment cartridge has to be bought, as bottled ink seems unavailable. Difficult to beat, and has NO annoying cartridge chips either.
