I do agree that it does seem to take a little while to prepare it's self for printing but it's worth the wait to be sure. I love it. It's as great for printing professional looking photo brithday cards as for doing draft quality images to be cut into stencils.

A large box shaped case looking even bigger due to being mainly coloured black. Sometimes it seems a little slow whilst doing its preparation for printing but thats all of the negative points. The print quality (particularly glossy photo printing) is incredible. It seems to handle all sorts of paper with ease, two paper feeds allow plain paper for draft work to be left in place while photo paper is loaded in the second feed tract. Prints on CD's as well. Eight separate ink tanks make sure that all the ink is used up. A very pleasing purchase.

This is a high quality A4 photo printer which doubles for everyday use for letters and other stuff. The quality of printed photographs is superb. One of my favourite features of this printer is that it also prints directly to CDs/DVDs which I find far more convenient than having to print separate labels. I'd have no hesutation in recommending this printer to anyone.

MY PREVIOUS PRINTER WAS A CANON i550. THE iP8500 IS FAR SUPERIOR. MY PHOTO PRINTS ARE MUCH SHARPER.

this is an excellent printer, especially in colour mode with vivid greens and oranges, unlike previous 6 ink versions that struggled with these colours. fast print speeds too.

8 individual colours give stunning results that are on a par with any photographic results. Much lowere running costs than any supposed competitors.
