Amazing piece of kit, Sep 06, 2007
reviewer: Scott, photo editor for 'the magazine' from Manchester

I had always thought someone should take the events business
more seriously... Well Mitsubishi certainly are doing with the
IT5000!

Basically, you can go to an event with a printer and a laptop on a
table with a throw over it, but far to often are you thinking "What
happens if someone takes my laptop" and "What if someone
spills a drink on it" Well you can put them worries aside. The
IT5000 is like a tailored suit, designed from the outset to fit the
events need perfectly.

It's sits with quite a presence, people even come over intrigued
as to what it does. It's so easy to use, you could virtually cover
events on your own and let your clients print their own
photographs.

Paired with a wireless transmitter for your SLR, you have the
perfect setup!

One event covered it's own rental costs for us!
It's simple, it just makes perfect sense.

IT5000 Click System, May 25, 2007
reviewer: David Stares - Oxford Events Photography from Oxford

bought the IT5000 from System Insight in March of this year and since that time it has been everything I expected.

Although I believe the system represents good value for money, no one can claim it's cheap. This investment involves the financial outlay but more than that, it is upon this equipment that I am building the reputation and future of my business. In short, I cannot afford for the machine to let me down.

I have found the IT5000 to be very reliable and am confident that it will continue to perform to my expectations but I have come to believe that a system failure would not be the total disaster I had feared. In buying the IT5000 from System Insight I have come to rely on the after-sales support of the System Insight team. I know that if I get a problem it will be dealt with as a matter of priority and if the worst did happen they could assist with a replacement or rental unit until my equipment could be repaired.

The equipment is great but the continued support of System Insight has proved invaluable in getting me started and giving me the confidence that no task would be too big. I could have bought the system elsewhere but I'm glad I didn't and I have no hesitation in recommending System Insight for their product awareness and customer support.

Mitsubishi Click IT5000 works wonders at event photography, Dec 20, 2006
reviewer: Mike French - Meonshore Studios from Hampshire

I used the IT5000 this weekend after seeing it demo'd by Stuart
at System Insight. I had been planning to run a CP9550-DW with
a PC or Mac, but as soon as I saw the integrated system working
I knew it would be a better choice for my event work.

The IT5000 comes with a touch screen to view and drive the
printing, all the event software integrated, and a CP9550-DWS
printer so all you need to do is get your images onto the unit.

I did this by connecting the IT5000 to a wireless router and
sending images direct from my Canon with no cables to trip
over. Setup was simple and well supported by the System Insight
team.

Once your images are in then you refresh the screen with a
button click and then rotate them if they are portrait orientation
(my only real complaint with the system is that it doesn't auto-
rotate Canon images). Then it was a simple case of crop to fit
and hit the print button and seconds later customers were
walking away with a high quality foldered print.

It is simple to use as well - I had my operator using the system
fluently with only 20 minutes of instruction from me.

Having experienced both online sales after the event, and using
a Kodak 1400 and Photoshop combination in previous situations
I can honestly say that the IT5000 is streets ahead in providing a
quality product, quickly to the customer, a real buzz around the
screen as images are viewed and a highly professional image,
which is critical to the Meonshore Studios brand.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this system to anyone who is
seriously considering onsite printing at events.

IT5000 - Nick Jay, Dec 15, 2006
reviewer: Nick Jay - http://www.eventphoto-sw.co.uk from Somerset

Looking through the pages of the website, you will find references to me in conjunction with equestrian event photography. After attending the System Insight Event Photography training course, I decided to attempt black tie. My colleague Ian Foster is an excellent portrait photographer, so teaming up we set about looking for our first event. At this time of year there are loads of Christmas Parties, and it wasn't long before Ian got us our booking with his old firm. For equestrian I use 2 Hiti 730's but we both felt that maybe we needed the ability to review and print very quickly. So I approached Stuart and hired a Mitsubishi IT5000 and a red CP9550 printer, using my Nikon D2Hs with a wireless transmitter we also wanted to use a wifi router to pick up the transmitted images into the IT5000.

Stuart promised me next day delivery and the kit duly arrived 24 hours later. It was all packed in very robust flight cases. I took the IT5000 out of its case leaving the printer in situ connected up the mains, plugged up the IT5000 to the printer, connected the router and also attached the WT2 to the Nikon. I fired the shutter and the pressed the refresh symbol on the IT5000's touch screen and there was the first image, I selected the image and hit print, the first print duly arrived 30 odd seconds later. So in an incredibly short space of time I had gone from delivery of the kit to my first print.

At the actual event we set up a full studio shooting onto a white background, we also set up the IT5000 and printer checked that we were receiving images and basically didn't look back, ushering people into our studio, photographing them and printing out the images, placing them in mounts and it was only in a very short space of time that the guests were parting with £10 for a 7 x 5 mounted image, delighted with both the photographic quality and the actual physical quality of the prints. One tip I would like to pass on is that we wrote the image number on the back of each mount. We put slips of paper in the clear face bags giving an e-mail address and wording to the effect that for reprints gifts, mugs, mouse mats, key rings etc, just quote the number on the back of the mount and e-mail. This gives you a pseudo web presence, as you don't need to physically place the images on the net for people to re-order. All of the equipment worked absolutely faultlessly all night.

Stuart's innovative policy in hiring out this equipment at very competitive rates, works incredibly well if you have any trepidation about investing in this solution, you can try it out hands on in live event situations, knowing that the System Insight team will give support where necessary to alleviate any concerns

My Best Friend for Event Photography IT5000, Nov 10, 2006
reviewer: Nick Martin www.nickonevents.com from Redaing, Berkshire.

When coming into the area of Event Photography I needed someone to help in many ways to guide me from selling the photographs as well as print them out with no fuss, not only did I find an excellent machine I also found a best friend I got the WOW facter as well with my Mitsubishi IT5000, customers could not believe their eyes in what they were seeing from a school prom night, black tie event, charity ball to fancy dress night every event was given the WOW factor by my best friend the IT5000, this left me to concentrate on the posing of the subjects and taking the money and as a team we have the best that can be offered. Even now when I show other photographers who like me have been in photography for a number of years what this machine can do it leaves them with the WOW factor.

Business in a box - again!, Oct 16, 2006
reviewer: Keavy O'Shea and Dominic Goucher (Photographers) from Hertfordshire

We took the IT5000 with us to an event 1 day after purchase.
With nearly 200 guests and a hectic meal timetable we didn't
have much room for error. From the moment it was switched on,
the IT5000 was the centre of attention and performed flawlessly
from the first print to the last. The addition of the IT5000
interface into our workflow made a potentially difficult job
almost effortless. We can't wait for the next event! (we're even
offering to support other photographers with our kit - we're
THAT confident about it)

We can't imagine doing the same kind of work with a laptop and
off the shelf software, and we're glad we don't have to. The
IT5000 just works.

We've now run the system both with CF card workflow and
Tethered Camera workflow with no trouble at all.

Again, we want to mention the superb advice and support we
got from Stuart and the team at System Insight. Thanks!

Just one word of warning - once you've used one of these at an
event, there's no going back!
