How to Use This Manual

This manual is written in HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language), the language used to display texts and images on Worldwide Web Pages.

Various Web browsers are available for seeing HTML views and therefore the same text or image may appear different depending on the browser you use. This manual has been prepared on the assumption that it would be displayed and read under the following conditions:

 Web browser: Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.0 or later

 Web browser screen: Full screen

 Resolution of display (Desktop): 800 x 600 pixels or above

 Color numbers of display: 16 bits or more

 Web browser: Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.0 or later, Safari 1.0 or later

 Web browser screen: Full screen

 Resolution of display (Desktop): 800 x 600 pixels or above

 Color numbers of display: 32,000 or more

For instructions on how to use the browser, refer to the user's manual or Help topics of the browser you use.

This manual refers to Windows XP and Mac OS X v.10.3.x operations.

The operations may vary slightly depending on the version of your operating system.

For Mac OS 9.x users, refer to the Printer Driver Guide for Mac OS 9 .

The diagrams and computer screens in this guide refer to the iP4000. The operations are exactly the same with the iP3000. Note that the iP4000 is not sold in some countries.
