This is just a brilliant printer, payed for it self within the first 1/2 hour. Kept quality throughout the night never had a problem.
Absolutley amazing value.

I hired a HiTi photo printer for my first attempt at event photography, the printer performed exceptionally well and the return on the evening made more than enough to enable my to buy the printer. I can give it no higher praise than that. The service from Stuart of System Insight was also top drawer.

I had a rather large event to cover and decided to take the plunge with the HITI 730PS. With a fellow photographer we bought two units. He ran Windows, I ran a Mac. The printers were running
almost continuously from 19.00 until 01.00 without a fault. Even
more impressive was that we sold 80% of the prints. Excellent piece
of equipment and paid for on the first event !

I've been using the 730PS printers now for over 18 months now and they are the best investment I have made for event photography work. They print straight from the compact flash cards without having to worry about profiling, downloading to laptops or Photoshop issues and the quality straight from the cards is second to none! It is only necessary to take some test shots at each event and adjust the settings on the camera to get the best result. I now use up to three or four 730's, depending on the number of guests at the event. The level of service and support from Stuart and the team at System Insight has to be experienced to be belived - try getting that from Jessops! Oh, and the 'bounce' comment - dropped one 730 down a couple of steps at an event recently and it still worked fine!! Highly recommended piece of kit at a VERY cheap price.

Having been in the Event Photography Business for a few years, when I converted to digital I was looking for a cost effective and reliable on-site printer. I purchased a Hi-Ti 730PS and was so impressed with its no-fuss, simple approach I bought a second one and had them both working from the same PC. This setup has worked well for smaller functions 80-150 people but can be slow if operating for larger functions. I have used it successfuly for a function with 1200 people - the speed from 'clicking print' to getting the print in your hands is too slow for immediate point-of-sale production, however with both printers working together (and having a dedicated assistant merrily printing throughout the night) this is an excellent and affordable entry level printer for Event Photography. The bundle software is a breeze and works well to maintain a busy workflow - well done Hi-Ti!

I have now had my 730PS printer for almost 2 years. As a professional photographer, having a perfect proof of a shot was always a challenge (and an expensive one). The HiTi printer was nothing short of a revelation. My latest venture (lifetyme) has seen this printer in almost constant use at events, with the fixed costs of printing being an absolute boon. Stuart and the team at System Insight are possibly the most professional and customer focussed company I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
If you are reading this review with a view to purchasing a HiTi printer, it really is a no-brainer decision. For business or personal use you will not find a better product or a better company to sell it to you and support you.

This printer is simply fantastic, for a complete novice like myself to be producing professional quality prints within minutes of receiving the printer is amazing. The ease of use and print quality are remarkable. 10 out of 10 to Hi-Ti and a huge well done to System Insight for their superb service

Not only is system insight an excellent company to deal with - took delivery of my 730ps at 3.30 pm the day after I ordered it (at 1230pm), but the printer is brill! first class prints at a great speed in comparison to inkjet, no fingerprints on them and the colour is great.Only one problem for me, the "remote control" has a weak and flimsy docking port, sticks out to much and I feel will very quickly break off with my rough handling moving from venue to venue. Perhaps I should just leave it loose and not attach it to the printer. This is obviously a pretty minor worry as it hasnt actually broken off yet and the quality of the prints for me is the over riding priority.[Editor: In two years not one person has actually broken the remote fixing on the printer!] Would recommend every one to buy this machine its a fab bit of kit and worth every penny of its price.Thank you Hi Ti for the kit and thankyou System Insight for your excellent customer service, others should take a leaf out of your book. You do exactly what you say you will do. Good on ya. best regards. Ken Dunn

Just got our second 730PS from System Insight. Great support as always from Stuart and the team. We're using both printers side by side to speed up the printing process and provide back-up at our events, and they perform incredibly well under a heavy workload. Using Windows built in Printer Pooling, the computer just picks whichever printer is free, and sends the print automatically to that printer.
Can't recommend System Insight or HiTi printers highly enough. Thanks James

I read a review of this printer whilst browsing my favourite Camera site-Steves Digicams. He seemed to rate them very highly, and as a rule,I usually buy on his recommendation!!
I contacted System Insight, the HiTi specialists, who were pleased to send me sample prints, which arrived in a day or so.Fabulous service and keen to please to a man[and women]
I was amazed at the quality and clarity of the prints, especially of 1 I sent via e-mail and received back with my samples. You see I have used Epson PhotoStylus printers for 9 years and thought the output quality was fine on my 900 to a certain degree.
But this print left me in no doubt which direction I should and would be heading - to System Insight and NOW!!
Luckily, Steve at System Insight had news of some Ex- Demo 730ps coming in to them, and I ordered.
This duly arrived and in no time I had the printer up and running on my PC and in standalone mode-it really is idiotproof, and the prints are every much as good as the samples!!
At some stage I intend purchasing extra Paper cassettes,so I dont have to spend time on changing different paper sizes over, and probably help protect from dust.
This can be a problem on the paper,I think that a good dustproof cover put over the printer when left disconnected and static can be beneficial. [Editor: We now sell a dustcover for the 730PS]
So, if youre a keen photographer or a point and shooter and must have the best possible output for your troubles, look no further - System Insight can point you in the right direction,[very able and aptly named too,]
Remember-must buy HiTi!!!

Received my 730ps today from System Insight. Within 2 hours I was printing from Photoshop CS2 and Qimage with results, without any manipulation, that matched what I could see on my calibrated monitor. No more wasted paper and ink.The prints have far exceeded my expectations. My Canon Injet is now consigned to general purpose printing (non photographic). Thank you System Insight I am impressed with your service and the HiTi product.

When I was first told about this product I was very sceptical but it has exceeded all my expectations. As a simple test I printed 3 prints and compared them with the same prints that had been lab processed. I showed them to the subjects on the photographs and they chose those from the HI TI 730 PS as having a truer stronger colour
And, a big thank you to the staff at System Insight for a first class service.

I purchased my 730PS from System Insight at the MacExpo in 2004, I had a power supply fault shortly afterwards which System Insight sorted for me so exceptionally quickly that I did not miss the printer (and that is saying something for a printer that is nothing short of superb). I have used the printer mainly at home until I used it for printing "table" shots at a wedding - not looked back, the 730PS paid for itself FOUR TIMES OVER in one evening. At
70p per print (fixed) I knew exactly what my expenses were and
printed LOTS of prints ! - Cannot recommend the printer enough and System Insight are real heroes who, for a change in this competitive world, know their products inside out and back to front. Don't just think about buying this printer - BUY IT NOW !

I am so glad I bought this photo printer! I just love it! The pictures have a real professional look to them. I make birthday cards and have been trying out the "sticker" papers with much success! I have also sent a few photos as postcards. They are so strong they do not come to any harm.
I have had great service from "System Insight"
with deliveries arriving the next day from when I order. I would say to anybody "give it a try" you will not want to go back to your pc printer.I was never done replacing ink cartridges when I printed my photos pre HiTi. Now if I need a larger print I can copy it on my printer/scanner/copier and get A4 size with good results but not the finish like I get with my HiTi 730PS.

I have had an epson R800 for about 7 months now. When I first got the R800 the pictures were superb for an inkjet, Then I had to start buying cartriges. £11.25 a time, When they seem to run out at least once a week. It works out to over £600 a year. Plus paper. I purchased the 730ps to save money on inks, as you can cost per photo (unlike the R800). I Thought you could not beat the R800 on quality, How wrong I was. I compare two photos. One from the R800 and oe from the 730ps and was amazed how much of an improvement the 730ps is. The main difference I think is the skin tones are so natural. In the R800 you look pale and sick. Now onto costs. I would spend over £600 a year on inks on the R800 (oroginal inks and paper). For the same amount of prints on the 730ps it would cost me £310. The 730 has paid for itself on the savings. Okay I tried third party inks on the R800 but the result was so poor I would not even bother talk about it. So the conclusion. My R800 is used for letters and index prints. The 730ps will always be used for the final print. The results have to be seen to be belived. You will not be dissapointed if you purchase this printer. Believe me they are superb.

Thank you for the unbiased and informative advice that you gave me when I just enquired about Dye Sublimation Printers.I bought one just over three months ago and it had paid for itself with the first commission on which it was used.I am free to print wherever I wish, at the venue or at home - I have the job of official photographer to The Fencing Veterans Commonwealth in Edinburgh next weekend - all because I can produce prints on demand. http://www.thephotoman.co.uk

You can print directly from the card for once I did not even open photoshop, this saved me so much time especially with a busy portrait studio on the go. An example of obtaining the correct lighting Meter the studio lights to 5.6 each (totaling f8 together)then set your camera at 125 f5.6 this lightens it sufficiently to print directly using DPOF (direct print setting from the camera). Very Impressed.
System Insight were more than helpful Thankyou

Initially we had doubts that such a reasonably priced printer could offer professional quality. Our first event dispelled any doubts. Excellent build quality, great looking images, easy to use, clients loved the immediate results. Together with fixed costs per image this is a winner. Suffice to say we covered the cost of the printer at our first event.
Conclusion.... buy one !

Purchased a Hi-Ti 730PS just before Christmas after sending a file to System Insight to print as a sample. The result, compared to an 8'x6' already printed by a Kodak lab, was very impressive, if not better, in many ways. The good thing was when the printer arrived I printed the same file and got exactly the same quality, colour and sharpness. The advantages of 3 paper sizes which, via the software, can be used for multiple images is certainly a bonus and, for me, offers potential for quick passports, ID photos as well as proofing and short run-off orders. The best advantage is that re orders can be guaranteed to be the same colour matching as the proof.
Paper kit costs on multiple boxes could be even more reduced and there has been some losses through dust on the images. Overall, very impressed.

What can I say, the results are fantastic.
Have tried many different inkjets but the results from the dye-Sub wins hands down in my opinion.
Bought the 730PS from System Insight under the 7 day trial. After printing out some holiday snaps no way was it going back!
You can't get better than this.
