Update after more testing and first event with the P710L.
Colour - I find the overall output when using the standard Hiti colours a little on the magenta side. If I use no colour profile it's better but still needs a little play to get spot on. No a major issue.
Brightness/contrast - As with the 730's I find them a little on the dark side and a little low on contrast straight out of the box. Again not a big problem to resolve.
Speed - Can't fault it, in fact the printer wasn't the bottleneck for the event it was the mounting and taking peoples money.
If your running events and using 730's I know it's a lot of money but you wont regret it, I know that after 1 event I don't and I'm now looking at my event profile to decide if I can generate more income using this at events where I currently don't have the time to print onsite.

Well what can I say? I'm not sure there are enough superlatives in the dictionary. Out of the box and setup in 2 minutes. Printing in 3.
The speed and quality of the prints is superb, At present I'm still in the testing phase but my initial view are that there will be almost not colour adjustments. I'll be playing with some more skin tones to see if they come out as they should and also with flash lit images but looks good.
So far I've only printed directly from Vista (running Vista sp1 and it didn't even need the driver disk). Right click hit and 15 seconds later you have a very high quality image in your hands.
This printer will get it's first live test at an event this weekend so I had to demo it to my event team who would be running the sales desk. 5 minutes was all it took to show them media replacement. (i'd only done it 2 twice but it's a doddle). And efter being used to running 2 or 3 730's they were blown away with how fast it is.

Did the first event with this new printer this weekend 2 evenings covering a Sex and The City opening at a local Cinema 240 winners (plus Public) of a RADIO comp all won free tickets and got the red carpet treatment. The event orgs provided models and a open top limo once the comp winners had come through we countinued with the models and the public it was a Great success. worked 6 hours over the two nights and sold over 400 prints.
Friday night we stuck to the original plan to shoot first give the customers a ticket to come and collect the photo after the film was a flop big mistake. we give our self a 15 min selling window (never again) people just wanted to get home we grab what we could (25-30 print) Sales (never never again).
Saterday Night we set up next to where the models were i shoot wirless on the d200 using a 17-55 2.8 by the time the girls got 4 steps down to the workstation the print was on the screen ready for them to view, 1 print 2, 3, 4 or 5 asks our operator adverage sale was 3 prints. the new HiTi P710L just threw them out 100% bang on no problems at all.
I have got to say if this printer was not as fast as it was we would have only sold half the prints because people would not have waited.
Only first event with the new HiTi P710L 100% inpressed hope highly recommended get one.
Best Regards

Just taken delivery of the new Hiti P710L.
This is my Second Printer purchase from System Insight my first was the HiTi 730 (great printer still going strong)
I have got to say a big thank you to Stuart and Raquel at System Insight did me a great deal their product knowledge was first class.
This is a totally new printer from HiTi and their first roll feeder type so I was a bit scared about being one of the first to try it but after talking to both Stuart and Raquel all fears were quickly dismissed.
Ordered yesterday at 3:30pm arrived this morning 8:30am well done system Insight
Took me 10 min to set up and start printing this is a serious printer HiTi have upped the pace with the P710L The Mitsubishi CP9800DW has defiantly got a serious contented here with this printer
Absolutely brilliant, build quality is second to none and the speed is blazing fast their quoted time of 13.2 sec per 9 x 6 is slightly slow I time them at 12 sec, but who’s to a second maybe my watch is fast.
The roll is easy to fit and the colour profile it comes with is very acceptable. However through the system insight Pro support scheme we will be receiving a custom profile in the next few days.
Will be interesting to see if these prints can get any better? I will be amazed if it does I love the prints it produces straight out of the box natural colours sharp right up to the edges
The roll prints out 310 8 x 6 or 9 x 6 prints in one change at a cost of 30p each cheaper and faster if you are printing 7 x 5 or 6 x 4
Over the moon 100% Satisfied, now let go try it at the next event see how it stands up to volume printing?
Many thanks to System Insight you guys rock.
