  1. Our Click System

Posted by Kandidprints (Jersey) on 24th May 2010

Thought we would drop you a line about the event we did last weekend. The first since doing the training on Monday and the first with the new Click Lite system.

First, following on from your training we took on board everything you had said on top of what we were already doing. This event was a poor seller last year, however a culmination of the new equipment, your advice, our experience over the past 12 months and a celebrity or two meant a improved return this year 1,200 % which is superb. We also picked up two more jobs for another event which should realise us a exceptional return for a couple or three hours work.

Second, at the dinner function on Saturday night, the Click Lite equipment was the talk of the function, apparently more so than the football they were watching. They were amazed that they could have their photography taken with the celebs and within seconds have it signed as a memento. It really has gone down a storm !

Third, because of this event and our approach, we have received an invite to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil from Carlos Alberto no less. We are going to be dining out on this for sometime.

Going forward if you would have a need for another presenter at any of your training seminars or have any doubting Thomas's we would be more than happy to assist.

  2. Looks like a Cashpoint machine....but with free withdrawals!

Posted by Paul Harrison on 2nd Mar 2010

I'm Paul Harrison from www.fullframeevents.co.uk. I'm not linked, affiliated or getting anything for writing this, but I will expect a beer at the next trade show or training course I attend!

Ok, the Mitsubishi Click isn't the prettiest system out there unless you love Red! It looks a little dated for those of us who are used to thinner flatter screens. But it does exactly what it says on the tin, quickly, reliably and with far more subtlety and accuracy than we expected.

It's built the way it is for a reason, it's solid and ultra-reliable with a purpose built operating system that doesn't crash or let you down during an event.

I have a very strong PC & Mac background and was going to do it my own way with a touchscreen network driving Mitsubishi printers. I know from experience selling all types of colour printers that Mitsu dye subs are impossible to beat for quality, speed and cost per copy.

The problem was that I wanted to do the photography myself, that's the most fun part. So I needed a simple front-end for my less experienced staff to operate. Stuart at Systems Insight and Mike Orr the photographer both said I should see the Click system so I did. Everything I was going to do is already done! Why re-invent the wheel? The touchscreen interface is simple but powerful, photos from my Nikon cameras appear as if by magic by wireless, and printing to different printers at different sizes is so simple.

I was suprised by how comprehensive yet intuitive the editing tools are, and the new software supports the all important green screen we use very well. Customers love the quality of the screen and are impressed when we set up at an event, it looks so professional with the matching printer (and hand crafted purpose built aluminium catcher tray..thanks Stuart!)

I would seriously recommend if you have the funds to get one of these systems to go for it. If not, call me and I'll cover the event for you :) But get it from Systems Insight as they will set it all up for you, upgrade the RAM, and make sure you have the newest version of the OS. Their support is excellent, and Darren will ensure you are up and running quickly. They help out if you need extra printers for really big events and although I love the technical side of things they have saved me countless hours, especially in setting up the WT-4, do download the latest Nikon firmware before even attempting it yourself!

Ask Stuart about the training course if you are new to Events, it will save you weeks of making mistakes and pay for itself on your first event, plus you can squeeze a discounted price out of him if you book the course as the same time as purchasing.

SO yes it looks like a cashpoint machine, but it's so much better as the money you earn from using it doesn't have to be paid in! Feel free to contact me direct if you want to know more about it from my point of view, but remember Systems Insight do events as well, and they use it, enough said!
